Recommendation: Ko-fi
For a small nonprofit selling a handful of tee/sticker designs and wanting a donation button in the same place, we'd recommend Ko-fi over Shopify or Etsy:
- 0% fee on donations — tips/donations keep 100% (minus standard Stripe/PayPal processing).
- Shop + donations on one link — no separate donation platform needed.
- 5% platform fee on merch sales on the free plan, or 0% with Ko-fi Gold ($6/mo) — worth it once you're past ~$120/mo in shop sales.
- Pairs with Printful or Printify for print-on-demand tees, so there's no upfront inventory risk while you gauge demand.
